<p class=MsoNormal>Thanks to all who supported DROOPY Basset Hound Rescue of
Western PA’s Slobberfest yesterday!! It was a beautiful day with no
rain. Everyone seemed to be having a fun time and there are loads of
tired hounds today!!! It was nice to meet some Droolers we
don’t see on a regular basis including folks from ABC Basset Rescue,
Tri-state Basset Rescue, Ohio Basset Rescue and Suncoast Basset Rescue.
The raffle was the best yet and people walked away with baskets loaded to
overflowing with all types of items. The silent auction, a first time event, for
Droopy did well and people happily bid on many great items. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><b><u>The store</u></b>, while also new, had people wanting
to purchase items included the new dog biscuit mix, party collars and of course
the new Slobberfest 08 tees featuring the Droopy Dozen. Carnivore games and
ring games were played with your hound with people lined up to participate.
The Rainbow Bridge Memorial with hearts played tribute to those hounds waiting
at the bridge and was well received. And of course Food!! An added
feature this year that was popular was having your hounds photo on a pin or
keychain. It was a fun time had by all and thank you to all joined us for a fun
day with the hounds.<o:p></o:p></p>
