<DIV>Dear Daily Drool folks..</DIV>
<DIV>Oh,I hope someone can tell me what has happened to my Daisy! I think
I screwed up royally when I bought the MAXIMUM dog food I mentioned this
week. at least I am hoping that is what is wrong. ( she started it on
Sunday.. it was mixed with her Purina Puppy Chow she has always had so I
don't know if that amount would cause this manic phaze or not.) she was
doing so well, such a nice sweet dog, minimum barking, no more biting, stopping
the jumping up on folks ..really sweet and calm. then Tuesday
morning she woke up , I let her out as usual, putting her food and water out and
by 9am I had a dog I didn't even know! </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> I took her for her walk and it was a nightmare! she was HYPER to the
<U>maximum</U>..the name of the food! I have struggled with her behavior
since Tuesday. yesterday while I was watering out front she hit the back screen
door SO HARD she knocked off the child plate guard, broke the screening, the
tubing that holds it in is all hanging loose. I couldn't believe my
eyes! I had played fetch with her for 45 minuets twice yesterday,
she never tired out as she usually does. she kept barking , kept going, came up
behind me and slammed into the back of my knees making me fall hard on the
grass. SINCE WHEN??? she did it again while I was picking up her "presents" in
the lawn. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>this is intolerable. she went on a barking spree that lasted three hours ,
from late afternoon til early evening. I put her in her kitchen kennel at 7pm
and she continued to bark for at least 45 minutes. I had to go outside, I
couldn't stand it anymore. nor could I stand HER! what the heck is going
on???</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>this morning I went to Walmart very early, I bought a bag of Purina
One puppy food and fed her. so far she is much better today but we will find out
this afternoon if that is what was wrong or not. now I know why there are rescue
teams, I didn't understand before how anyone could not want these adorable dogs
but I do now! </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>was it the food change do you think? it is like dealing with someone who is
bi-polar..no warning, nothing. just all of a sudden absolutely crazy and
hyper. does she have worms or something? I see none and she was just
recently at the vets and was wormed again for good measure, I pray one of you
can help me out or there will be a rescue unit needed in southern Colorado. I
wont put up with this. it is a nightmare..truly. Suzan Pulsifer <A
