polenta meal, course corn meal. They eat it and it swells up in their
stomachs and they explode. Also, those little pasty plastic ant
traps work good if you can put them where the dogs can't get to them. I
put them under the carpet. Vet also says it takes such a tiny bit of
poison to kill an ant that even if the hounds eat them it won't hurt them.
He told me this after one of my dogs ate a few of them. I still put them where
