It's been 2 days now with my new baby Chloe and I am in
love!! She makes me smile every time I look at her. I just cant stop
hugging and kissing her. After her bath, she was filthy, she is now
a fluffer nutter as I call it. Her coat is so soft and pretty. My
cat, Big, alias the rat bast**d, is still a bit out of sorts. He growls
and spits at her and she so wants to play with him. I don't think he is
having anything to do with that. He is a senior citizen, 11 years old and
just wants to sleep and not be bothered. My first day with her, yesterday,
I felt like a nervous wreck though. I felt like I couldn't take my eyes
off of her for fear she would potty in the house. I was unable to get
anything done around the house. by days end I was exhausted.
My dear husband came home after work and I just dropped. Am I being overly
cautious over this?? I have been letting her out at least every 2 hours
and giving her a very small puppy biscuit after she comes in as a reward for
going out to potty. I still feel like I cant relax. She
has had a few accidents, which I know is only to be expected. She was
raised outside in a kennel.

I did find her dog food, dummy me had the name wrong. It is called
Diamond.

She does seem to have bonded quite close to me already. She
does like my husband but even he has said she has "chosen" me. As with
Big, the doc said a long time ago that I was "it". I think I am "it"
again. So I am hoping today goes a bit less anxious for
me. I am so grateful for this drool and any helpful hints or
thoughts anyone has for me.
