<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3>Today,Friday 29th August is Dylan's birthday; he is
eleven (but thinks he is three). Dylan came to us 6 1/2 years ago to fill a big
gap after our previous two had been killed in an auto accident. He is a great
big softie but with the usual Basset stubbornness.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=3>Not sure exactly how old Poppy is, vet reckons eleven,
but by a happy coincidence her gotcha day is also 29th Aug so that has been
adopted as her birthday too. Poppy had a very miserable first five years of life
on a puppy farm but in spite of her health problems she is a
survivor.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
