last week or so. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The loss of so many of our beautiful friends has
been heartbreaking to read. Please accept our condolences, our prayers and
crossed paws are with each and everyone of you.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Special prayers for Lou. We grieve for the
loss of Pat.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>It is truly amazing how virtual strangers are bound
together through our love for Bassets. I feel Blessed to be a part of this
wonderful community.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Finally I have some happy news to share.
</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I'm sure many of you remember Robert Amox's partner
in crime, Phred.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Last year after Phred's journey to the Bridge,
Robert (who is a vintner) told us that he planned to dedicate a wine to
Phred.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Long story short, I kept in contact with Robert and
today I received two bottles of Phred's Red.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The label has a picture of Phred on the front and a
short story about him on the back.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Robert will donate a part of the proceeds from the
sales to animal rescue in Phred's memory.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I'm not a big wine drinker or a connoisseur by any
stretch of the imagination, but Robert's stories about Phred on the Drool were
entertaining and I wanted to have to have something to Honor his
memory.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Robert told me he is planning on making an
announcement about the availability of Phred's Red, but I'm so happy about
getting some, I jumped the gun.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>Tomorrow<FONT face=Arial size=2> Janie Anne's vet staff and I will lift a
glass of Phred's Red in tribute to all Bassets and their slaves.</FONT></DIV>
