It’s me again – Norm!

Things are really weird around here. This morning
started out pretty normal – Dad fed us and then we went out in the back
yard to sniff all the smells the wind and the rain left there for us. Dad
picked up the big sticks and branches the wind left in our yard so we couldn’t
pretend we were beavers but there were still lots of little sticks to sniff and
chew. Then he took the recycle stuff out to the road and started to put
up the flags. This is where it started to get weird. Dad almost
fell down! Then he grabbed onto the flag pole! We were all sitting
at the gate watching him – then he went in the house. In a little
while, Mom made us all come in the house and go to our crates. Then, Mom
and Dad left – and it seemed like a nickzillion hours before anybody came
back home. Then, Mom came home – but Dad didn’t! Where
is Dad??? We all sniffed Mom and she had some new smells on her that Opie
and I had never smelled. There weren’t very good smells either –
they smelled like a HOSPITAL – that’s what Grady told us!
Then Mom told us that Dad had to stay at the hospital – he has to have
some heart tests tomorrow. He had something wrong with his heart before I
was born and they fixed that by putting some springy things in his tubes, but
now they have to find out why he almost fell down today. I think that is
what Mom said – anyway, I miss my Dad and if you’ve got any drool left
over, sling it to my Dad at the heart hospital please.
