12.0pt'>I am so excited!! My brother in law, who lives in Houston, is
staying with us for a while until he gets power restored at his place and he
told me last night that he is just head over heels smitten with his “cuddle-bug”,
his nickname for Sophie. She has firmly implanted herself right there in
his heart and simultaneously wrapped him around her little fat pinky toe!!
He said that he would love to just take her home and love her forever, but
since he knows I would hunt him down and pulverize him if he took my sweet
little one, (tee hee) he said he’s going to get his own basset!!! He
loves the breed, their demeanor, their personality, everything. (but hey,
what’s not to love, right???) And my hubby had already told him all
about rescue, and how we got Sophie, and how he’d be giving a precious
pup another shot at a great life, etc., so he’s all for it! (Go
DH!!!) As soon as things get back to normal after Gustav, he and I will
be hunting for his new houndie! I’m so happy!!! I guess I was
wrong about Sophie’s official title…she’s a basset slave conversion
specialist! Ha Ha Snooters to all and drool to the babies who needs
