Well after much discussion, John and I decided that we would become a foster home for OBR and were happy we were told we could. Our first foster only was here for about 48 hours since he was a he and I have a house full of gals... (since Bailey has gone into heat every time we have her surgery scheduled. She is do to go in a couple of weeks so I think we might get it done....sorry I digress)....in any case Harley had just been neutered two days before and he was still looking for some booty- he was such a great pup and he has since gone to his forever home...A week ago I picked up Trixie...a 4 or 5 year old lemon basset who had been on the run for awhile, quite the survivor, quick and smart....First she is the sweetest thing. She also is a fantastic counter surfer...she's eaten 2 loafs of bread and a lot of mini bagels since her arrival! I keep forgetting just how quick she is. But yesterday was the topper! I had opend our bedroom window and had popped the screen out for a minute to check on the bat that had taken roost above the window (another story)...didn't see anything so I put the screen back on and left the bedroom. The whole time Trixie was on the bed sleeping in a cute little ball. Two minutes later I hear John pulling in the driveway and then yelling for me. I scurried which isn't all that fast these days with the rod in my leg down the stairs as he continued to scream. He yelled...Trixie is on the ROOF!!! I couldn't believe it, but not only was she on the roof, but she hopped back into the window and greeted us downstairs! The little imp had push the corner so it bent the lock on the side was popped out and the screen just fell out and she hopped out, about a two foot drop! I a going to put a pair of antlers on her and get a picture! <br>

I work with animals, but so far I haven't been able to get through to her on some of those issues!<br>
