<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Today is 3 months since Mandy the Cocker
Spaniel left us.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Mom took it real hard. She thought she
hadn't done enough</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> for her but everyone has been telling her
that she did all that</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> she could. Mandy had a liver problem
for over half her life &</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> mom would get up 1 hour before breakfast to
give Mandy her</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> liver pill. Then Mandy went deaf &
mom would sign language</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> to her. After that Mandy went blind & mom
would carry her </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> outside & sometimes back inside. Mandy
still could find her</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> way to the back door. She knew how to
maneuver between</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> the kitchen & family room. When Mandy's
skin cancer grew</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> over the top of her foot, mom would wrap it
up twice a day in</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> a handiwipe. Her skin cancer was an
open soar. Then it grew</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> onto the bottom on her foot & it was
difficult for her to walk so</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> mom would cushion it & put a child's sock
on it. With it being</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> such an open sore & if you didn't have it
covered, you would</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> have blood all over the place. If she went to
scratch her face,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> her face was full of blood & blood would
be splattered all over.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Mom didn't mind cleaning up after her, what
else was she</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> going to do for her first girl but take care
of her. Near the end</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Mandy didn't want to eat & mom would mix
whatever she could</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> in her food & spoon feed her. Sometimes
she would eat with</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> gusto off of the spoon. She would warm up her
food with the</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> liverwurst in it. Mom did whatever she had to
- to help her</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> little girl. Then it was time for Mandy to
get her hair & nails</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> done. The groomer had the vet check out Mandy
& they told</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> mom it was time. They gave mom & us time
to spend with</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Mandy. We all went in. It was a horrific
experience for mom.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> They had Mandy on a coral & white afghan
on the table & </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> then at the end they laid her down on the
floor for us to say</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> goodbye. When they brought her out to the
car in her coffin,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> the box slipped open & mom saw she
had a white & yellow</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> afghan in there instead of the coral &
white one. Mom knew</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> it was a sign. You see, when mom got Mandy,
she came with</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> a white & yellow afghan. We still have
it.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Mom went to a yard sale & there was a
Cocker Spaniel there</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> & she almost started crying. She wanted
to hold that dog like</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> she use to hold Mandy. Mandy is the only dog
she could hold</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> & dance with. She misses that so much.
She never looked at</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> anything at that yard sale because of that
dog. She had to leave.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Mandy's 15th birthday was this past Friday.
Mom took the day</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> off & had appointments all day so she
didn't have to cry much.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Mom misses her so much.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
