<DIV>Hi everyone, Has anyone had any luck with using Ketoconazole for their kids
for allergies? I talked to a lady friend, that has her 2 bassets on it,
for yeast on their skin, and causes itching. I inquired about it with my
vet, and he said we could give it a try, Honey and Dottie itch like crazy.</DIV>
<DIV>The dose for their weight was one pill in the morning and one at night,
with food.</DIV>
<DIV>However, their tummies didn't tolerate that much, so now they get 1 1/2 in
the morning with food, and it has worked much better. None at night.</DIV>
<DIV>It has helped some of the itching, but not entirely.</DIV>
<DIV>They can only be on it for 30 days, it is kind of a strong drug I
understand. They have both been on it for 16 days now. My lady friend said
it helped her girls in the first week, and they don't itch at all now.</DIV>
<DIV>So......................now I was just wondering if anyone else has had any
experience with this, and if it has helped??????? We were doing benadryl
for a long time, but that made them so tired, and after awhile, I think it lost
some of it's effectiveness........</DIV>
