I of course am sending warm thoughts for a quick recovery to you both (when sober I rarely drool :-). Healing drool to Norm for his owies from falling on the ice, to Nigel for his sore butt and low temp (when I get sick my temp usually runs low, not high), and to Dottie for her general malaise.</div>

Miriam, bassets are very prone to glaucoma -- if Jody has eye pain please get him to your vet ASAP. He may have already lost the vision in the eye, and if so it might be better to remove it which would alleviate his pain. My Henry's foster brother was a blind basset named Jiggles (I love that name) who had to have both eyes removed due to glaucoma. I was amazed at how well he functioned.
