Now a storie--and no Elwood, geez can I do this??
This is a funny story-I know you will understand--

We had planned on joining the card list this year, I had
been thinking for months of pictures, ect. Then in true basset fashion,
November arrived and 4 dogs out of 5 end up at the vet-Elwood bashed his
shoulder, Jake had a dirtball in his ear, Sister Daisy had a horrible UTI that
didn't want to leave, and Ol Bob comes down with a anal gland infection. Elder
Clara-healthy as a horse watched the parade to the vet with sheer glee. So I
decided since Ol Bob was going daily to the vet and I was not sure how all
that would play out--he is 15-I decided to forgo the card exchange this year,
much to my displeasure. I would read the drool on how much fun it was, so I
decide hey if I have some addresses, I will send some cards. I had saved all
the envelopes from when Elwood was so sick, and a idea is now born. I need
some cards. I go and order cards, the bank promptly calls informs me that once
again my credit card is spending without me--sending flowers around the world.
Cancel the card. But I still need a nice picture of the hounds to put in the
card--I tell hubby to pick out a nice picture of them and have some nice
wallet size made, send to the place up the street to pick up with cash. Tell
him hey, order 80, this will be nice for many things. He moans, he groans,
eyeballz are rolling, but he knew this was important to me, I figured he would
handle it. He loves the hounds and the Daily Drool as much as I
do.

Now that was a blonde moment I had there. The pictures
arrive. There are 4 of my 5 beloved hounds-he ordered the wallet size??? These
things are the size of a postage stamp, you need a magnifying glass to make
them out-there is 300 pounds of basset in this picture the size of my thumb.
And if this isn't sorry enough, there are 360 of them. Did you read
that----360 of them. They gave us extra, for free. I will be unloading
these little hummers for years. But we sent out a few to folks we had a
address for, and you can bet next year we will be doing the full list-with the
postage stamp picture just for a good laugh.
