He was a dog I rescued nearly 5 yrs ago from the SPCA after our neighbor died at home. His family sent him to the SPCA because they didn't want to be bothered with him. I went and bailed him out. I must admit I am not a beagle fan but he has been a wonderful boy. Very mannerly and loving toward everyone. He was old when we got him but you didn't know it. Now he has been failing daily for the past few months. He has been eating and doing the usually things but he now is looking anorexic. I believe it is time to send him to the bridge. Today he ate very little. His breathing has been labored. Tomorrow my vet will come and send him to the bridge. Please say a prayer for him that he goes peacefully. He will be buried in the yard along with our Bassets and a wannabe poodle from many years ago.</P>
