like a small part of a wonderful Big family. Thank you for caring for and
loving our beautiful Basset buddies. Special thanks go to all of you who
are involved with rescuing the poor unfortunate ones who are discarded through
no fault of their own.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Thanks to the moderators, special thanks again to
Ellie and her people who make the Calendar. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>We have laughed, cried, and been amazed at the
antics of our special charges.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I will light a special candle tonight
to Honor all of the ones, furry and Human, who have left for the
Bridge this past year. I made a list of them this year, so
I pray for all of them, starting with Bertha who left on January 1 all the
way to Buford from just yesterday. The list is too long to post here (135
and I may have missed a few), but Lexis Marie, Pw. Gina Marie, and Hannah, Dr.
Jeri's sweet little girl, stand out in my memory.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Godspeed to all of them!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Let's all have a safe New Year's Eve and let's hope
the gates at the Bridge won't be so open in 2009.</FONT></DIV>
