<DIV>So many emails and calls about our Holly - </DIV>
<DIV>The little girl who began her puppy story on Christmas Eve - following our
blizzard and we put the call out for help to fund Holly's pups - well, here is
the update.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Almost immediately we got a call - from our very own Mod Squad gal Suz - "I
saw her picture and I live in Texas - but I am in love and I want her!!"
And so Holly will become Holly Green and Suz will write about that - in
the meantime, a ton of love and effort has been poured into Holly - who just
refused to drop those pups!</DIV>
<DIV>Special thanks to: Dr. Young Kim DVM, Dr. Reed Loken DVM, Dr. Jackson DVM,
Dr. Johnson, DVM, Sandy Gaston, Sue Shoemaker, Don & Pam Bullock, Sukey
Shor, Marie Radebaugh - the gurus of Holly's whelping. Holly was ready to
deliver at any time - and many sleepless nights have been had here at
Daphneyland as we watched her go into, then come out of labor. A nagging
little scar on her belly had everyone guessing - could she have a natural
birth? No one knew.</DIV>
<DIV>Last Friday Holly's temp dropped to 96.5 - and she went into labor - calls
across the country went out - until she fell asleep at 4 a.m. that
is. Saturday morning found us taking her into yet another vet, and film
revealed 7 pups. But we were still advised they were not sure if she was
truly ready yet - and so we waited.</DIV>
<DIV>Yesterday, Holly went into hard labor at 11 p.m., and was still in labor
this morning - and so it was off to the specialists at Warner Pet Clinic where
Dr. Jackson, assisted by Dr. Johnson took ultra sound and pronounced the need
for a c-section. Being invited into the area for the process was an honor,
and you can imagine the amazement as puppy #7 was taken - and then #8 - and
wait... Puppy #9. NINE PUPPIES!!!!!</DIV>
<DIV>The vets were fabulous and while Holly was out she received her badly
needed dental, nail clipping and ear flush! A full tune up for Miss
Holly.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Due to the unforeseen C-section to have 9 bouncing and healthy puppies - we
have raised the limit on the firstgiving page to reflect these costs - and now
we begin with puppydom.</DIV>

<DIV>Holly is less than pleased at awaking to have had a dental - and to
discover 9 happy and hungry pups!</DIV>
