It doesn't get much more pitiful than a blind basset hound puppy. But that's what BRBR has taken in, a six-week old basset baby who has been blinded by glaucoma -- and human neglect. The puppy's name is Teddy, and he's the product of backyard breeders in rural Tennessee. When Teddy got sick shortly after his birth, they didn't take him to a vet --- medical costs cut into profit margins, you see.

As a result, Teddy is blind. He can live without sight and do just fine; his hound nose will help him navigate the world. But he needs his remaining, damaged eye removed. He also may have a heart ailment and needs to be checked out by a canine cardiologist.

He's under the care of Belly Rubs Basset Rescue, and they are raising money to pay Teddy's medical bills. Give what you can; even $10 will help.
