<DIV>Both of my guys have their own special quirks. Ben, the Devil Dog,
runs as soon as free from his nightly sleep for his post on the arm of the
couch in the family room. He sits there like a stone lion, watching for
dogs to walk on our sidewalk, and then bark his head off. He will sit
there for hours just sitting and watching, and then tearing from window to
window as they traverse the sidewalk. He also will sit very patiently
while you eat your meal, not begging like the others. He just
sits doing nothing. Then as soon as he sees you are done, leaps into
action, cruising the table for anything at all, right in front of you, without
shame.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Charlie, the one with the bad back, has for the six years I have had him,
will every morning get up and head for the cats water and drink his
fill. You cannot get him to move one inch until he has had his fill.
His other quirk is letting you know he wants a walk. He comes to you and
whines without letup, until you take him. Then when you open the door, he
will walk into the hallway, turn around and head back into the
house, until you coax him out again. This is most frustrating because then
the others run, who you do not want to take out yet, into the hallway, and
you need to get them back intothe house and Charlie back into the hallway.</DIV>
