<html><head><style type='text/css'>p { margin: 0; }</style></head><body><div style='font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000'>Ugh....I found a site for a breeder here in New Hampshire...She promotes her "rare" blue Bassets and on her "Stud" list she has a couple of Blue Bassets, and some she happily lists as carrying the "blue eye" gene. One blue male stud with blue eyes...poor boy. She also has a litter of "Bass-a-Poos" on the ground now, along with two litters of Bassets, several blue tris among them, mini doxies, Pekingese, and Tumbleweeds (Peke/Pomeranian cross ???WHY?). The Doxie-doodles are coming. Just makes me sick. I'd send a copy of the Basset standard, but she obviously wante to breed "outside the box" so I'm sure that would only encourage her. I got an email about some 6 month old Basset pups dropped off at a shelter in MA bred by the ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER in a neighboring town. I wish humans got their brains delivered by UPS like the Bassets do....maybe they do and they just don't install them. Who knows. Turns my stomach. I love all my babies here, but Kahuna is the only one who was bred responsibly and with purpose other than money. And I manage the health issues in the others and keep them happy and pain free the best I can with the blindness, heart problems, and arthritis from poor conformation.<br><br>OK, thanks for letting me vent.<br>Drool to all who need it!!!
