Apparently, Fred and Annie are more spoiled than I even realized!! What's funny is that I usually come home from work and turn the air OFF! I will also sit in the house with them and it'll be 79 degree or so, and it's fine. But when I leave them alone, I worry that they'll be too hot!! Part of the problem is that I live in a townhouse, and the only window I can leave open on the first floor when I'm not home is the kitchen window. In the living room, there are two sliding doors and a window that goes down to ground level...I live in a safe area, but I don't exactly want to invite people in when I'm not home!! People also mentioned doggy doors...I don't have a yard, so going outside when I'm not home is not an option for Fred and Annie. My first floor is open (living room, kitchen and dining room flow into one another) but they are confined to the one floor. Annie is afraid of steps, and I am afraid of Fred being upstairs when I'm not home (he enjoys pulling my books off of my bookshelf and "reading" them!)<br>

Anyway, thank you all for the information. I think tomorrow we'll try 76...not sure if I'm brave enough to do 80 just yet!!<br>
