<DIV><BR>I am so glad to see that Morse is back to his old self. Somehow I never had time to let him know that the Dashing Bassets were slinging drool in his direction.</DIV>

<DIV>Yesterday I heard from the vet about Abner's lump. The fluid she took from it seems to show that it's benign, though she did warn me that when she takes it off, there could be something else in the center. But at least she will not have to do a deep excision. His bloodwork was also good. Abner has an appointment to have surgery on Tuesday, the soonest I could get him in. I'm sure he'll be very unhappy about going under the knife, but he really has no other options. I just hope they don't want him to wear an E-collar, since I don't care to get bitten over it. And he's so short, he could probably hang his head and be unable to move--our short Alexis was so pitiful when she ran the collar into our fairly flat rug and stood there, hopeless. Even after I trimmed an inch off the wicked collar, she hated it. Alexis was weaponized and would run into my shins with it or block Bel in our narrow hallway. Imagine what trouble Abs would come up with!</DIV>
