color dilution alopecia is common in blue bassets and is one of the
reasons that responsible breeders do not breed to get this color, as
oposed to the uninformed backyard breeders who will advertise "rare
blue bassets" and charge the equaly uninformed public more money for
these unfortunate hounds.  Does your hound appear uncomfortable or
itchy where the hair is lost?  If not, i t may be just a cosmetic
