<HTML><FONT FACE=arial,helvetica><HTML><FONT COLOR="#800000" SIZE=5 PTSIZE=18 FACE="Basque" LANG="0"><B>two threads to pick up...ever since Buddydawg came to live with me, he walks on the outer edge of the curb, no matter where else he may be going...now that he has such problems with his hind legs, he might slip off the edge of the curb, but insists on getting those legs up there again and walking to the end of the curb...as to basset smarts, when Bud fist came to me, i started giving him little liver treats to lure him into the bedroom at bedtime...luring is no longer necessary becaue it is the way it is...i started giving him three--they're really little--and three it is...he doesn't move onto his bed until he has three, not two, and certainly not one...all three!..he is smart enough to get exactly what he wants, and i guess that is smart enough...and i love him to peices...Rene'e<BR>
