<div>Recently, someone asked if it was ok to give bassets milk, and a number of people wrote that their dogs love milk and have no problem with it.&nbsp; As part of Fred and Annie's Gotcha Day dinner on Tuesday night, I gave them each a half of a Wendy's Frosty (a vanilla milkshake.)&nbsp; I've let them lick a little ice cream off my finger before, but that's it.&nbsp; On Wednesday, Fred had slight diarrhea, but yesterday morning it was worse.&nbsp; He also threw up once and wouldn't eat anything.&nbsp; He really seemed to not feel great yesterday morning, but seemed much better last night and today.&nbsp; His stomach issues aren't completely resolved, but I have him on a boiled chicken and rice diet and, if he's not 100% by Monday, we'll head to the vet.</div>

<div>I don't know if it was the ice cream that did it, but my two do seem to have sensitive stomachs.&nbsp; I read that some adult dogs do not have enough of the enzyme lactase, and can't break down dairy products.&nbsp; This can lead to diarrhea.</div>
