<BR>It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that I said my goodbyes to Sherlock Holmes yesterday. He stopped eating, was having trouble walking and generally just fading fast, so I sent him to the Bridge before he suffered. Sherlock taught me a lot. He was my very first ever "official" rescue dog (BROOD) and first ever foster failure. He lead the way for numerous other foster dogs, and was preceeded in his trip to the Bridge by Skeeter, Kirby and Waymon, not to mention some of the fosters he lived with that I lost track of. He gave a lot to me and I thanked him for what he gave me in his life. He was never a very loveable, cuddly hound, and was generally a curmudgeon from the get-go! Despite all of that, somehow, he filled a hole in my heart and my spirit that no other dog could. Thank you, ol' buddy, and BROOD, for adding a wonderful aspect to my life.
