size=2>I too use a rubber broom and it is terrific. I use it every day as
I have hardwood floors throughout. Saturday is my Dyson day with the
extended wand getting into the corners and along the baseboards. When I
was in my other home I had wall to wall carpeting throughout. After one of
my quarterly rug cleanings I saw the tech use a special metal type rake to bring
up the fibers of the rug. I asked if I could buy one and it also was
amazing...I would rake my rug first getting up tons of dog hair then I would
vacuum. Those were the days when Dyson's didn't exist and my Electrolux
just couldn't handle the hair of three dogs...two of which were Golden
Retrievers...!!! </FONT></DIV>

size=2>We also added a new member to our family....her name is Mary Todd
Ga-linkin which I thought was totally appropriate being that we already have
Abraham Ga-linkin. Mary is a feline...yes, a 4 week old kitten who found
her way to me. For the last 15 years or so I have been wanting a cat...I
didn't want to go to the shelter, I didn't want to be given a cat...I wanted a
cat that found me. Well my dream came true. She showed up on my
front yard Tuesday night and now $200 later she has stolen my heart. She
was so full of fleas it was awful . She was a the Vet Wednesday and he
told her that she hit the Kitty Jackpot !!! I have no idea where she came
from or if she belonged to anyone but I do know that if anyone shows up to say
that she is their cat I am going to deny having her. She is an adorable
little girl who is just the sweetest creature..!! She currently has her
own room and we are slowly introducing her to the dogs. We went from a
closed door to a door with a doggie gate. She is a very trusting cat so I
did hold her by the gate and Owen (the lab) sniffed her and then promptly kissed
her twice!!! Abe previously lived with a cat in one of his 4 previous
homes so I believe he is accustomed to them ..she just has to become a little
more familiar . </FONT></DIV>
