<br>Rosie found a chipmunk in our drainpipe yesterday. I took the dogs out to potty and she went over there and stuck her nose up the drainpipe (I was worried she was going to get stuck) and started barking. You can imagine what the basset bark sounded like inside a drainpipe! I could hear a critter scrounging around in there and Rosie would not take her nose out of the drainpipe nor would she quit barking. All the while, her butt was sticking out and her tail was wagging like crazy. If the truth were known, had she gotten a hold of the chipmunk, she probably would have tried to play with it. Her brother the dachshund on the other hand would have eaten the poor little thing for lunch. I had to pull her away from the drainpipe, and put a leash on her to get her back in the house. Then hubby and I went out and took the drainpipe apart so the chipmunk could be freed.
