<P>thought i'd chime in... my vet showed me a good way to give pills to dogs and that is to take the pill, open up the hatchet, and (i hate to use this word.. but i can't think of a gentler term) shove it as far down the mouth as possible. hold the snout closed. once the dog licks their nose, it means they swollowed! sounds dramatic but really the process takes about 5 seconds. i immediately follow-up with a yummy treat! houndie doesn't know what just happened.. lol! </P>
