<DIV>I am not sure how rules and regulations for therapy dogs differ from state to state, but I know that therapy dogs are not given the same legal status as guide dogs for the blind or physically handicapped. That makes me wonder why the dog was even in a retail store for starters, and why anyone would think that merely turning one's head and speaking to a dog that was not directly assisting a handicapped person deserved to be yelled at.</DIV>
