<div>At 61 years old, i adopted the first dog i've ever had, a 3 yr old basset named Gus.&nbsp; he came into my life 3 1/2 weeks ago and i'm in heaven, as is he.&nbsp; he had been in several homes with other dogs, and with Gus, that will not do.&nbsp; so now he's king of the house and loving every minute of it.&nbsp; he's the most laid back and happy thing you can imagine.&nbsp; But he has one quirk and i wondered if you all could shed some light on it:&nbsp; given the chance, he'll eat his poop.&nbsp; so i can't let him out without being next to him and i'd like to let him out in the yard more often, for longer periods.&nbsp; i read that lemon juice or hot sauce poured over it will do the trick, but if i'm going to do that, i may as well pick it up (which i do, but not until he goes in the house).&nbsp; any ideas how to break the habit?&nbsp; i love this dog so much, i can't believe i've lived this long without him.&nbsp; he's such a mensch!</div>
