<div>This morning after I fixed breakfast for the hounds I saw that Hal had rubbed his left eye so much that he couldn't open it, again. He had a small injury in august & we did all the drops etc. It's bothered him a couple more times since then & I've taken him in & treated it. Last month he rubbed so much that I had to use atropine to keep it dilated because it started spasming, also had antibiotics & oral pred. Last wednesday vet looked at it again because it had started bothering him, no corneal abrasian so used antibiotic steroid drops. This morning, another trip to the vet & both drs looked at him. Now on antibiotic drops (4x/day), flurbiprophen drops - nonsteroidal (3x/day), & atropine drops (1-2x/day). We go back weds morning for a recheck (and Spencer is having a dental & xrays for arthritis at that time ackkkkk!) Hal now has an appt with the eye specialist Nov. 3rd, which is pretty good considering they have a 2month waiting list. Eye dr said it was urgent & moved him to the front of the list. Tonight he can barely open his eye, which is better than it was this morning. I spent 4hours waiting for pharmacy to fill the anti-inflammatory drops so the poor baby spent all day... <sigh> And he had sooooo much fun yesterday at the howl-o-ween party! He was Robin Hood, & we only had to hunt down his hat twice!</div>
<div>Some good news, Sara Sue's ear seems to be healing. While I had Hal at the vet I brought a swab from Sara & said "Is this how it's supposed to look?" Vet said yup is right on track. I gave her the blue power recipe in case icky sticky ooey gooey treatment doesn't work.</div>
<div>So, between Sara's ear, Hal's eyes, Spencer's dental & xrays... <wringing purse to get out last drop> maybe I need drool for money! <g></div>
<div>Anyway, if you could spare some drool for Hal I'd really appreciate it.</div>
