<div>I took Hal to the eye specialist this afternoon. There's a foreign body inside his left eye. She tried to remove it, but its just too deep. Said if she pushes it at all it'll probably go into the back of the eye & then it'll be real trouble. If we do nothing there's a very good chance he'll loose his vision & probably his eye. If he has surgery then 98% chance of good outcome with no problems later. So, 8am wednesday morning he goes in to have it removed & may also need a corneal graft. Not what I'd hoped for, but...<shrug> nothing else to be done but have it removed. Surgery will be about $1200. My family is getting doggie eye surgery for xmas!</div>
