83; Georgia has 100; Basset Buddies Rescue has 100 and I saw today that GABR
has 40 and adoptions are very slow….not sure on other rescue totals but
let’s help the rescue groups with adoptions, fostering and donations this
holiday season! I’m thankful for all the volunteers and foster
homes in the rescue community and very thankful for all who donate or host

font-family:Arial'>My name is Cosmo. I am an old man, 12+ years old they tell
me. I was brought to Maricopa County Animal Control in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City
w:st="on">Phoenix</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">AZ</st1:State></st1:place>
. I was scared and sad and didnt move a muscle in that kennel. I
was scheduled to be euthanized on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Just at
11 a kind person from AZBHR came and saved me.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Arial'>I could barely walk and she had to lift me into the
car. I was taken to a kind vet named Val who looked me over and kept me
over night. My hair was so matted with dirt and oil they had to bathe me
2 or 3 times. Boy that felt good. It turned out that I have a heart
murmer, bad hips, an ear and eye infection, and a very bad uti, I am a meer 30
lbs. They were kind enough to send me home with the nice lady and
lots of medicines. Oh did I mention I am blind? I can see shadows in
bright light.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Arial'>Despite all of this, AZBHR said I am safe in a foster home
where I will be cared for and loved. I am spending my first night in a
house with lots of 4 legged brothers and sisters. I can finally sleep
without being afraid. Thank you Arizona Basset Hound Rescue. You
are truly The Face of Love!!!<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
