I joined the Drool back in 1999 when we got our first Basset puppy Fred a gift for my husband who had always wanted a Basset. I knew nothing about Bassets and was looking on the web for info and ended up at the Drool and joined right away. I passed the stories along to my friend Patty who lived in an apartment, had a cat but loved our puppy Fred, and she also joined. She decided she needed a Basset too so she bought a house so she could have a Basset and now has two and has been a <SPAN class=mark id=misspell-0>Drooler</SPAN> ever since. Ten years and four Bassets (plus numerous fosters) later my life has totally changed and I have to credit the Drool for most of it. Through this list I have made friends all over the world, learned about puppy mills and back yard breeders, I met my good <SPAN class=mark id=misspell-1 spellMenu="null">friend</SPAN> Alexa Paul and learned all about rescue, decided to foster and added to foster failures to our family. I have traveled to waddles all over the west coast including Canada, to the <SPAN class=mark id=misspell-2>Boardwaddle</SPAN> which was a blast and to other Basset events incorporated into vacations. We have had <SPAN class=mark id=misspell-3 spellMenu="null">Drooler's</SPAN> we had never met stay at our house while in Seattle and have had a great time with everyone. This list is truly a family we hold each other up through the rough times and laugh with each other through the good. I feel very blessed to be part of this group, it isn't just an email list it is part of my life. I can't imagine life with out Bassets, Rescue and the Drool.</FONT><BR> </DIV>
