<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>A year ago today my sweet Pw Gina Marie made her
final journey, to the Rainbow Bridge. She took a large part of my heart
with her when she left me. She got so sick, so fast, that her leaving was
not expected and made it all that more painful. I left my house that
morning expecting to pick her up at the ER, have her checked out by her regular
Vet, and bring her home. But that wasn't to be, she would never step foot
inside her house or Corvette again.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>A year later and I still have not been able to look
thru a photo album that was sent to me, or to watch the DVD that was made for me
by another Drooler. I still cry when I think of her, still miss her with
all my heart. I look forward to the day when I will see her again and be
able to hold her in my arms once more.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I hurt so bad that I thought I would never adopt
another Basset Hound, but then I saw a picture of Holly Noelle on Daphneyland's
website on 12/26/08. She was pregnant and looked like a stuffed sausage
:)</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I picked up the phone and called Dawn of the
West. She was worried when I introduced myself as a DD moderator, she
thought she has done something wrong. We still laugh about that to this
day. Her second thought was that I wanted to adopt a buppy, but I only had
eyes for the Momma. We decided to keep it quiet until she gave
birth....and Holly decided that it should be a secret for a very long
time. Everytime Holly went into labor I got a phone call, and then another
call a couple of hours later saying that Holly had got tired and went to sleep
instead of having her buppies. Finally on January 7th Holly had her
buppies by C-section. At this point she was at least a week overdue, but
really didn't feel like working hard enough to have them by
herself.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>In March my friends gave me a cyber adoption shower
while I was visiting Donna Lindy in Georgia. And in May I drove 1400 miles
to Daphneyland to meet Holly Noelle and bring her home. I had also agreed
to bring Isabella back with us to Texas. Isabella's new Mom, Sherrilyn,
was moving b/c of her job and would pick her up in Texas on her way to their new
home. Isabella stayed with us until the middle of July, and is still
missed by both of us.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>On August 1st Holly and I got company again, 2
senior Hounds from the puppy mill bust in North Texas. Sophie & Nancy
stayed with us for 12 weeks, and are now at Daphneyland. When they left
they took a piece of my heart with them. They were 2 of the sweetest
Hounds I have ever met. Holly Noelle and I are hoping that they get
adopted soon, they both deserve to spend the rest of their lives being loved and
treated like Pwincesses.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>In honor of my Pw Gina Marie I have made a donation

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>When I adopted Gina Marie from TSBHR I lived in NJ
and didn't have a fenced in yard, but they trusted me with her and changed my
entire world, for the better. I have met some of my best friends thru the
Daily Drool, people I never would have met if it weren't for my Pw Gina
Marie.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>My Gina Marie didn't care for people or other
Hounds, so we didn't participate in any of the rescue functions. There
were a few that I went to, and the Pwincess stayed home with a sitter
:) I had the honor of driving the GM in the parade at BoardWaddle in
2007. I am so happy that I got to attend a BoardWaddle before I moved to
Texas, it's something that everyone should do at least once.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>My Pw Gina Marie never played with stuffies, never
ran the Basset 500, or so much as touched anything that wasn't given to
her. You could put food down anywhere and she wouldn't touch it, not
unless you actually picked it up and handed it to her. I am sure that she
is sitting on her cloud and laughing at how my life has changed in the past
year.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I now have a Hound that doesn't know the difference
between her stuffies and the ones I have for decorations. Holly also has
no problem in hiding dental bones down behind the cushions on the sofa.
She also runs the Basset 500 and it is in my best interest to stay out of her
way. We have had company that have run out the front door and almost given
me heart failure. And I know that I can't put food anywhere within Holly's
reach, not if I want it for myself...LOL</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>And all because of my sweet Pw Gina Marie ATB
11/17/08....Momma loves you and will see you again one day!!</FONT></DIV>
