<DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face="Comic Sans MS">I am a little bit scared too I 

have been home, you know since I lost my job so I have been home to answer the 

phone and all of a sudden we are getting more and more calls from owner 

surrenders. So many people are getting divorced and losing their homes it is 

scary. Well, I guess while I was working all of the puppy people kept calling 

other rescues till they got someone, because all we were getting were the older 

hounds, but now that I actually answer the phone I am getting people that 

need to give up puppies. Not one but two new puppies we are going to take in 

this week. Yikes!! Most of our Bassets here at Western Missouri Basset Rescue 

are older I think the youngest we had till two weeks ago was six. Then we got a 

two year old scardy cat. Now we are getting two five month olds. Help!! I am not 

sure about this at all. It has been a while since we had our couches 

chewed up!! Good thing we never replaced the linoleum in the kithchen from 

our last puppy. Sling drool toward this old womans house!! (They will be spayed
