I want to thank everyone for wishing me a happy birthday. Arlene and Katie thank you for the beautiful cards. I had a dog show yesterday and an opportunity to see just how little time I have spent training Conley and how awful he was in the ring! LOL. Back to class for both of us. He looks like something I just brought in off the street.<br>

I worked with him later and once again learned that being forceful with a Basset, especially this one, is counter-productive. Did the neighbors wonder why I was out in front with the dog flat on the ground refusing to move? (I need him to put his head up, get his nose off the floor.)<br>

We will try again today altho I have been working with him a bit and will get him out before the show and do some work.<br>Anyway thank you all again for the lovely birthday wishes and I barely feel a day over....oh...maybe 95.<br>
