All of a sudden I saw 2 deer come barreling out of the woods and run through our driveway. They never even stopped to see me so I figured someone had probably spooked them.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>So Sophie and I go back to our business. I heard another deer rustling behind the shed and then all I heard was a big bang noise, I look up and see this deer hurdle our fence and hit its back legs against the top rail. It was weird because I knew she was aware of it before it jumped because she got bone still and tail was up and curved. Sophie is a constant nonchalant wagger. Tail is always moving. I was actually surprised she didn't howl or bark.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>My first thought is oh $^#$ and then I thought SOOPPHHIIEEE in my mind. For a split second while watching the deer she was frozen and as soon as it started running again, she hauled her basset butt back to the house likity split! If she could have yelled MOOOMMMMM, I think she would have by the look on her little face!!! </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>So that was our big adventure for the weekend. Now we have a new scent in the yard to keep those basset noses busy and the mum is on the look out!</DIV>
