<DIV><FONT color=#800000 size=4 face=Baltimore>LOL ,, I can come up
with a conspiracy theory for most anything. lol. But seriously, I
have an uncle who worked for a big university research facility and his job was
to take care of the animals they were using for (at the time) transplant
experiments. I grew up listening to some very sad
stories. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#800000 size=4 face=Baltimore>I don't make vet judgments based
on what school the vet graduated from. My first concern is whether
they seem to actually care about my animals, & whether they listen to
what I am saying are the symptoms. After all we, the owners, know our dogs
the best. Not every vet is going to know everything, but their
ability to know they don't know and then to try to find answers is
important. I have access to very good animal hospitals, thank you
very much. My primary vet hospital is holistic in nature and while all the
typical equipment and care is available, alternative medicine is also
considered. I have access to and have used a number of specialists when
the situation arises.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#800000 size=4 face=Baltimore>It is not in my nature to try
this and that with the hopes of prolonging a painful life by a couple extra
months. If I am going to put my trusting, loving faithful dog
through painful and (yes) expensive procedures there had better be a high
percentage chance of a successful outcome. I simply cannot
look into those beautiful eyes, that depend, love and trust me, and tell him/her
that I am going to put them through agony just because it is something for a
research center, or vet student to try. I realize that might
make me a bad guy to some people, but I believe quality of life is far
more important than the quantity of life, especially for a beloved pet that
cannot understand the concept of tomorrow or next year the way we
do. </FONT></DIV>
