<div>I'm now "retired" and get to spend every morning (and afternoon) spending at least an hour each time walking the 3 Bassets. &nbsp;Mind you, most dogs would do this walk in about 20 minutes, but it's Bassets we're talking about. &nbsp;I'm amazed at how different the 3 are.</div>

<div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;">Gallagher</span>: &nbsp;"marches" up the street, we call it his "show strut" even though he's not a show dog. &nbsp;He marches with his head up as if on a very important mission, until... &nbsp;a squirrel comes into view then he goes into basset ballet - running and twirling in every direction, nose to the ground. &nbsp;His tail is usually down, and will wag like crazy when said squirrel is sighted. &nbsp;The yummiest snack in the world will not take him off mission.</div>

<div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;">MacKenzie</span>: "wiggles" up the street. &nbsp;This curvy girl swings everything she's got as she saunters up the street. &nbsp;If Gallagher sees a squirrel, she'll follow, wiggling all the way. &nbsp;Her tail is always up. &nbsp;She can be swayed by snacks.</div>

<div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;">Poppy</span>: "hops" up the street. &nbsp;When she needs to catch up to the young folk, it's almost like she's got her 2 front feet tied together as well as her 2 back feet, hopping along the way. &nbsp;Her tail goes in circles - this may be the device that actually propels her forward. &nbsp;She's always ready for a snack.</div>
