<DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=4>I know exactly what you are talking about,
grieving.</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=4>When Dottie first adopted us, she immediately
became friends with a Samoyed next door named Sota. They played, and ran,
and sat together in the shade when it was hot and sunny out, went for walks, and
were just plain good friends. Sota had a birthday party, with several dogs
there, and Dottie and Sota still kind of hung out together. Sota became
ill with cancer, and is now at the bridge. However, that was 2 yrs. ago,
and all the cute things Dottie did, at Sota's house, stopped completely.
She has not started the dishwasher anymore, with her big tootsies, or went thru
the garbage., at Sota's house, and no more counter surfing
there.</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=4>Now Marley lives next door, another samoyed.
And Dottie "HATES" her. Marley has no idea why of course, but Dottie
growls at her, and snaps now and then at her.</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=4>Last Summer, Marley had a birthday party, and
Dottie went over into the corner where her and Sota used to sit in the shade
together, and she just sat there, all by herself, just like she was waiting for
Sota. It was so totally obvious to those of us who went thru
it.</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=4>She still misses Sota, she has never got over the
idea she never came back that day, and she resents Marley for it because she
don't understand.</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=4>So yes, I believe that they do grieve, and it
makes it so sad because you can't explain it to her.
</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV>

girls..........</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV></FONT></BODY></HTML>
