<div>Many dogs will position themselves in a valuable spot in a place where they are making direct eye contact with another dog coming up a stair or even blocking the stair.  Very normal.  Push that dog over to the side unless they are aggressive and turn their eyes another direction and the second dog will generally then come right up.  Aggressive dogs probably should sleep in a crate at night because if startled from sleep, they could bite before they think.</div>

<div>Of course the bigger problem is then they sleep next to or on top of me and give me about 3 inches where I have to hang my body off the side of the bed and can't get any covers... but that is the story of my life!</div>
