<div>Well, after 2 blood tests and an ultrasound, it is confirmed. My beautiful boy has Cushings. His right adrenal gland is enlarged, but the ultrasound couldn't specifically delineate a tumor. So we are going the medicinal route, no surgery. That's fine with me because at nearly 13, the thought of surgery was very scary.</div>
<div>I received many responses from Droolers who had experience with this problem and was able to discuss it knowledgeably with the vet. He begins Lysodren meds tomorrow, for a week, will then be retested to determine if the dosage is correct. She is also giving me standby prednisone in case there is a problem going the other way.</div>
<div>Thanks to all of you who responded - I knew I could count on the Drool. In spite of all the fluid intake, Barney doesn't drool, and never has. But he woofed to me that he wishes all his furbuds the best of health and numerous belly rubs, just like it should be. And may I add my heartfelt condolences to those who are feeling the loss of a special hound. Each and everyone is special to their family.</div>

<div>Barney - I told you I would be ok Mom. I just need a little help to get thru this.</div>
<div>Tucker - If he's 13, that makes me 11.5. Wow!</div>
