<font color='black' size='2' face='arial'>I must have led a sheltered life (in New England) - where my dogs were always sheltered from the cold, and I thought most people did the same. &nbsp;We now live in North Carolina (coastal area) and in the last few weeks, several people have asked us "are they inside or outside dogs". &nbsp;We met a beautiful Golden Retriever at Obedience training who is an "outside" dog. &nbsp;It got pretty cold here this winter and I just can't imagine leaving a dog outside. &nbsp;Now on a wonderful sunny day like today, of course they are outside. &nbsp;But at night, they snuggle in their choice of dog beds, nice and warm. &nbsp;Miss Poppy, our senior rescue, spent about 6 years of her life in an outside kennel with no medical care or human fun. &nbsp;Sure, they fed her and gave her water, but not much else. &nbsp;Every time someone asks me this question, I want to say "No, not anymore they aren't? &nbsp;What kind of a person do you think I am."
<div>Now I'm sure there are wonderful people out there that keep dogs outside, but sheltered, warm and loved. &nbsp;However, I keep thinking of what Poppy went through. &nbsp;</div>
