Any droolers out there with a hypothyroid hound? I'm awaiting blood work results from the vet this morning because our Sally may be dealing with this. She's had a sudden onset of unprovoked aggression toward Beauregard, as well as being generally anxious and ADHD-like. Not to mention the bald spots on her belly and hindquarters and finicky eating, among other symptoms. <div>
<br></div><div>We called the vet to get a referral to a behaviorist because Sally suddenly started fighting with Beau over the past week, with their tussles increasing in quantity in each day. Their first fight (which we thought was a fluke) was on New Year's Eve that resulted in Sally having a tooth extracted. The vet brought both of them right in for tests and physicals to rule out any medical causes first -- she said the first thing that came to her mind was the thyroid. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I'll have more to report this afternoon after I speak with the vet but was hoping for some thoughts and advice in the mean time. </div><div><br></div><div>Drool to all! </div><div>Emily</div><div>Sally and Beau</div>
