<DIV>I was babysitting my friend's dog, real happy fellow, low-maintenance,
good-natured. I had to stop at his vet to pick up a prescription for
him. So I left him sitting out front for maybe two minutes while I ran in
and picked it up -- he was never out of my sight.</DIV>

<DIV>The next day, I thought I smelled something and investigated, and the
passenger side seat in the car was soaked with urine. Poor boy, he must
have been anxious at being left alone, or at seeing his vet's office, so he went
(and went and went and went, he's a big boy) all over the seat.</DIV>

<DIV>Since I didn't notice it right away, it really had a chance to sink way
deep inside. I've tried all the standard cleaners, but what works on a
thin rug just can't penetrate down far enough on this car seat.</DIV>

<DIV>Any thoughts? Now that it's getting warmer, I'm envisioning a
summertime of warm urine-scented air every time I get in the car!</DIV>

<DIV>(I have to say, my first thought was of TBO and the car wash. For
anyone new, the late and adored TBO (stands for "The Bearded One") was one of
the most beloved longtime Droolers, and he wrote wonderful tales of
his well-worshipped bassets. One of my favorites was of Miss Molly's
first trip to the carwash, when she sat on his lap, started shivering with fear,
and then he felt his lap getting very moist ... shouting "No, Molly, no!" didn't
help, and of course he was completely trapped while the car took its leisurely
route through the wash. I would have preferred that, actually, because my
jeans and I could have been much more easily washed than the car seat! I
miss TBO ... )</DIV>
