<DIV>Yep, Utah Friends of Basset Hounds got $1000.00 from the Shelter Challenge. Makes a little bit of dent</DIV>

<DIV>in our vet bills, we have 57 bassets right now. We are very proud of our supporters who religiously voted every day to help us, sometimes on more than one computer. Our pres, Peggy, sent out a daily email reminder to everyone to vote. It is pretty tough here because Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is also in Utah and is always our competition. They were second in the UNITED STATES, so it is a bit challenging. </DIV>

<DIV>Even though the voting doesn't begin again May 17th, please still go to the website everyday and click to</DIV>

<DIV>donate food to the shelters, rescues, etc. And they do have some really great stuff to buy. I ordered some yard decor for my mom for Mother's Day that was adorable. </DIV>

<DIV>There is also a prize for the most weekly votes-- a good way to win if you have tough competition in your</DIV>

<DIV>state. We should get organized and do a basset rescue a week and get some weekly prizes for some of</DIV>

<DIV>our rescues that wouldn't otherwise win. Just a thought. </DIV>
