<DIV>My Maggie and Betsy could really use some drool Betsy is my lovey
dovey Brood foster who has been dealing with kidney failure for nearly three
years now and has remained pretty stable We have had ups and downs but
with proper diet, sub q's and medication she continues to do okay This
past week though my 10 year old precious Maggie was diagnosed with advanced
congestive heart failure. She was so bad that I actually took her to the vet to
have her send her to the Bridge It broke my heart, But my vet
decided to give some medication a whirrl and so far she is doing pretty good but
really lacks energy and her appetite isn't great. The coughing and panting
have stopped though. Anyway Maggie is a rescue that went blind from
glaucoma at the age of three and has always suffered from allergies and a heart
murmur. She has never given up and has always been happy just to bark with the
others in the pack and blindness never bothered her. I can't afford a
cardiologist right now so my vet has been able to get lots of help from one and
the new medication she is on seems to be helping. My third basset Daisy
suffers from IBS so life is always a challenge. Maggie and Betsy can
really use a bit of the good old fashion drool as they try to fight for their
lives. I can see in their eyes that they aren't ready to make that final trip
yet . I know that my heart will break when that time comes. Please
send some drool to them that they might both spend a bit more time roaming the
yard and visiting the neighbor kids</DIV>
