I have been told by my supplier that Arkat, the makers of VF
complete foods and Enhance dog food, both of which I use for my dogs, have been
bought by DAD’s, which makes crappy dog food for grocery and discount
store chains. I trust my supplier to keep me apprised of any formula
changes, so for now so-far-so-good. Arkat formulas have NOT changed with
the change of ownership. I still use their food and my dogs do very well
on it. It is the cheapest “Good” food out there. We use
the Turkey and Rice, which unlike many foods is not just a “flavor”
as it has no corn. I also use Enhance, which is a hunting dog
food. About two weeks after I switched from Pedigree I noticed a
significant improvement to coat quality, odor, and ear health. I have one guy
who has problems with soft stool when I feed chicken, and the Turkey has helped
significantly. This food line should work for most dogs who have no significant
health problems. With 8 dogs, I need all the help I can get…
