<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>I thought I would update everyone on how
Izzy is doing with her anxiety wrap. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>Izzy is one of GGBR 61 bassets and is 7
yrs old. She has severe fearfulness and </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>distrust issues of everything and
everyone. We have made a lot of progress in the</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>6 months she has been with me but we have
a long way to go.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>There is a big difference between when
she wears it and she doesn't. She is so </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>much more secure when she has it
on. I have been testing a couple of different </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>ways to use this with her. I tried
leaving it on just for short times. Then using it </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>during the day and then off at
night. Then on for 6 hours during the day then back
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>on at night. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>The big test happened when we had
a 2 day block yard sale with lots of traffic. Both
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>days I was in and out about
</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>the same amount of time. The
first day I let Izzy wear her </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>wrap all day and she did well.
</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>She failed miserable when I
left it off the next day. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>She pretty much stayed in the bedroom
</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>hiding out and didn't bother
to greet me when </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>I came in. She also didn't come out
even when we did the happy gang song. I put the </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>wrap on her at around
</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>4pm and by 6 she was much more
secure and </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>coming in the
living </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>room. She was also much less
skittish that night and didn't have the "flight" response
with</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>every noise.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>Izzy does pretty good with walks in the
parks without her wrap but in the neighborhood</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>she freezes many times on our walk.
One thing that I learned from our trainer is that when </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>she is relaxed her mouth is open.
Though we still have some freezing on the neighborhood</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>walks she is much more relaxed with her
wrap on and her tail is in a half up position. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>Last night she slept without her wrap and
I didn't sleep well because she was so anxious and </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>jumpy all night. This morning I got
up and let her out to go potty. She was in her normal
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>non-wrap </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT
size=2 face=Antique>behavior with skittishness and tail tucked. I put her
wrap on and within 10 minutes </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>she was </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT
size=2 face=Antique>a happy girl with her tail up. Instead of trying to
hide in the bedroom she was running </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>in and </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT
size=2 face=Antique>out the door and was staying in the living room. She
just came walking through the house </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>with her </FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT
size=2 face=Antique>tail up and is taking her morning nap in the living
room.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>I won't tell you that the wrap is a
perfect fix all solution</FONT></STRONG><STRONG><FONT size=2
face=Antique> because Izzy has a long way to go yet.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>I can honestly say that Izzy is a much
happier girl with her wrap on and most definitely worth
the</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>price. One added benefit is that I
can soak it in some cool water to help her keep cool on our
short</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>5-10 minute training walks.
</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>My next test will be the anxiety face
wrap.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique></FONT></STRONG> </DIV>

and our prayers to all in need. Sandi, we are all</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Antique>praying for a speeding recovery for
